We predict you want a chiropractor who will help you save money while also getting out of pain. Our guess is you want quick results and pay the least amount out of pocket.
The COOR Wellness Team looks forward to helping you achieve your health goals! All staff except for Dr. Christianson work from home. They’re parents of young kids and have flexible schedules. 100% of our new patients schedule online from the comfort of their phone or home at any hour of the day. Please know our new patient experience is very different than what most people are used to in Grand Junction and all of Colorado. It is designed to help you save money, give you a smooth chiropractic experience, and allow the doctor to focus 100% on your needs during your appointment (as the staff works from home).
Our goal is to help you achieve your health goals while elevating standards of care by focusing on results, not money. As said above, 100% of our patients schedule their visits online and reserve time on the doctor’s schedule by doing one of two options.
Option 1 – schedule online and pay a nominal amount (between $1 and $160) that is applied toward your care. 100% of our patients who have done this have rated their new patient experience as “Excellent”
Option 2 – you can schedule a free consultation to speak with the doctor for 10 minutes to see if we’ll be a good solution for you. To schedule the consultation, please send your name and what you need help with via text message to 970-712-6059 *note, because of excessive spam phone calls and text messages we’ll only reply if you state your name*
Option 1 secures your time and you can conveniently schedule at any time of the day from your phone or PC. This is ideal for self-pay patients or those with insurance who are confident we’ll promptly refund any overpayment.
Option 2 is slower but you’ll be able to ask questions before starting. This provides you with better financial information about how much your care will be.
Option 3 is best for people who have questions about their symptoms or their expected cost.
100% of our new patients are scheduled for two visits. The reason is that in 2012 we did an in-depth study of our patients and found a scheduling method that reduces your total appointments and total out-of-pocket expense. Furthermore, the second visit provided us with better clinical information to design for a free home recovery program. You receive more value in visit two versus visit one.
COOR Wellness Does Things Differently (with the intent of providing you with more value per visit to the clinic)
After training under some of the best healthcare providers in chiropractic, athletic training, and physical therapy I have learned there are better ways to help people get out of pain and achieve their health goals. I am serious and meticulous about helping you feel better and seeing you achieve your best health. The appointment calendar has limited availability, but I will do my best to schedule you promptly.

- Offer ‘bait and switch tactics by luring you in with reduced fees only to sell you on long-term care
- Do x-rays and “nerve scans” to scam you into lengthy care plans
- Rush you in and out like ‘herding cattle’
Currently, because of our limited availability, we need to limit new patients to the following categories:
- referrals from existing patients or other licensed healthcare providers
- insurance provider listings (note, we are actively getting out of network with all insurance companies that do not incentivize improving outcomes)
- auto-accidents
- worker’s compensation claims
- soft-tissue injuries in athletes
- pregnancy care
- requests for techniques that COOR Wellness does that other practices locally do not
We are happy to help you find another clinic if you need a referral to an ethical chiropractor if we’re unable to find a date and time that works for you.
To schedule, follow these 3 easy steps.
Complete the health history form below so Dr. Christianson can review your health goals prior to your arrival.
We schedule most new patients on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays so that 2nd visit evaluations and home exercise programs can be developed two full days after your first appointment. Check our availability online; then schedule and pay for your first two visits through our booking page. The price of your visits varies based on your insurance. Your payment is applied to your account and any excess will be refunded promptly. Your payment will be refunded if you provide 24 hours notice of a change to your first appointment.
We understand that this process is different than what you’re used to. However, over 93% of new patients from March 2020 to May 2022 rated their experience with COOR Wellness as “Excellent”.
If you’re wondering why payment is required to schedule, we’ve found that when new patients pay before their arrival they recover quicker and are better prepared for their first two visits. In short, you will get better faster and engage with your home exercise program which compliments your in-office care.
After you schedule your New Patient appointment, look in your email inbox or junk mail for detailed instructions on how to prepare to experience an excellent first visit.

Lastly, we try to schedule new patients on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays so that 2nd visit evaluations and home exercise programs can be developed two full days after your first appointment. We always schedule 2 appointments for new patients. If you only wish to have 1 appointment, please call 970-712-6059 and outline your specific circumstances via voicemail.

Using your insurance does not guarantee they will pay for your care and if you want to review your insurance before starting, we can help you with that. Please take photos of the front and back of your insurance care and text them to 970-712-6059 before visit 1. The sooner we can look at your insurance the better experience you will have. Furthermore, the more you research what your coverage is, the better experience you will have.
Please dress in loose-fitting clothing like athletic wear or sweatpants. If you need treatment for your knee or below, please wear shorts. For treatments on the shoulders, please wear or bring a tank top. There is an area to change your clothes in the clinic.
Allow for 45-60 minutes for your initial appointment.
